Much of my work in these practice areas can be done on a fixed fee basis. You will know up front how much that work will cost. In situations where the amount of work is affected by the action or inaction of third parties (for example, engaging in negotiations with other parties), time spent on that aspect of your matter will be charged at a reasonable rate.
Expenses incurred on your matter are charged to you at my cost when identifiable (such as filing fees, parking, etc.); there is no markup. Expenses incurred that are not identifiable (such as mileage, copies, etc.) are charged at reasonable rates.
By operating a virtual law office my overhead is low. That means more of your hard-earned money goes into my work product, not into expensive office space, fancy furniture, or a high rise view.
In most cases there will be no need for you to fight traffic and look for a cramped parking space. Instead, save time and money by meeting me over the phone or via video conference when it is most convenient for you.
In those rare occasions when we do need to meet in person, it is by appointment only. I have arrangements for conference rooms strategically located in the Houston area (in some locations, out-of-pocket costs may apply).
Our convenient internet-based client portal is available at no extra charge. It allows us to stay in touch in a confidential, secure setting. Here, we can privately exchange messages, post deadlines/ reminders in a private calendar, share documents and invoices. You can also make on-line payments (your choice: credit card or eCheck).
Access to your legal information is at your fingertips 24/7, wherever you are, whenever you choose, using your favorite internet access device. While no internet service is 100% secure 100% of the time, this system contains more security features than unprotected email.
